As we move from one century to another, the natural attitude is to retrospect on the road traveled and to outline possible prospects for the future. This topic has been the subject of Rumen Avramov's research over the last few years, presented in a book consisting of two studies - "The Economic Twentieth Century of Bulgaria" and "The State and the Banking System in Bulgaria". The book analyses the economic life, national psychological and institutional traditions in Bulgaria over the past century. It is an original interdisciplinary study that will undoubtedly arouse interest and resonance not only among economists, but also among representatives of other humanities and social sciences - historians, sociologists, philosophers, psychologists.
