The specifics of trade in electric energy – in general and in particular the peculiarities and disproportions on the Bulgarian market are presented in this article, proving the need of an organized and functioning exchange market of electric energy and the need of its continuous transparent operation.

Alternatives have been searched for surer and quicker access for the Bulgarian agriculture producers to agrimarkets, considering their difficulties in this aspect. The insignificant number of studies in this sphere in Bulgaria indicates a lack of correspondence among the research on this problem, its relevance and the needs in the practice of agricultural producers. The analysis involves direct marketing of the farm output on contract basis, establishment of auctions and own farm markets. The main advantages and disadvantages are outlined. It is found out, that the Bulgarian farmers are interested in investing in own agrimarkets – organizational and consumer markets, because this is an active marketing policy, that will contribute to a more secure and independent sales procedures.

The highlighted issues focus on sanctions and unethical human factor behavior in corporate management, looking for the relation among behavior, assignment and implementation of business objectives and the effect resulting from the lack of positive results. Concepts are presented on the change of conduct and the trends leading to remunerations or sanctions. The activities of the managers and the employees are analysed in view of their behavior – how the sanctions are applied and accepted by them. Various examples of unethical conduct of staff, the sanctioning need and the effect of its requirement are demonstrated.

The paper analyses the dynamics of trade flows and the trends in trade patterns of intraregional trade of African countries and regional economic communities. The study presents the main import and export destinations both in inter- and intraregional terms thus outlining the trends in African countries’ and Regional economic communities’ export and import for the period 2003- 2012 and trying to draw some conclusions on the realization of potential benefits of integration.

This article provides a brief description of investment purpose vehicles securitizing real estates, particularly the methods to measure their economic efficiency. Such economic efficiency may be of resource type or cost type, while the variants are increase in resource efficiency and increase in cost efficiency. Some of the indicators for measurement of the economic activity and some models, including a number of correlations measuring the efficiency are outlined in this article. The indicators and models may be used to plan, control and analyse the economic efficiency of the studied companies.

As is well known, over the past 20 years or so, the Japanese economy has been in a process of prolonged deflation. Since 1994, the annual consumer price index has been higher than 1% only in 1997 and 2008. This prolonged deflation has led to a stagnation in the activities of firms, as well as a restraint from capital and new investment. In addition, wages did not increase for a prolonged period. The rate of economic growth was stagnant.

January 24, 2015 marked the 90th anniversary of the birth of Prof. Dr. Ic. Ivan Stoyanov Iliev, Member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. It is a fitting moment to mark such an important anniversary of this great Bulgarian scientist in the field of economics. I have known Ivan Iliev since 1952, when I entered the Karl Marx Institute, and especially since 1953, when he lectured us on industrial economics. He is known as a respected university lecturer of long standing and a distinguished businessman of the highest rank. He has been Vice-Chancellor and Rector of the Karl Marx Institute of Economics, Vice-Chairman and Chief Scientific Secretary of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Deputy Minister in several Ministries, twice Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Chairman of the Planning Committee.

On March 11, 2011, the strongest earthquake ever recorded occurred in Japan (widely known as the "Great East Japan Earthquake"), causing a powerful tsunami and a nuclear accident at one of the world's largest nuclear power plants -- Fukushima. The triple disaster has had a profound impact on the lives, health and property of people, infrastructure, supply chains, economy, politics, natural and institutional environment in the affected areas in Japan and beyond.
