  FRAMEWORK FOR ASSESSING AND IMPROVING THE SYSTEM OF AGRO-ECO-MANAGEMENT

  This paper suggests a holistic approach for analyzing, assessing and improving the system of eco-management in the modern stage of development of Bulgarian agriculture as a specific system for governing human activity for protection of natural environment. The principal mechanisms and modes of agro-eco- management are specified, the factors for agro-eco-management are identified and stages in improvement are described, which is perceived as a permanent, not a temporary process. Approaches and indicators for assessment are proposed, aiming at minimizing the overall costs for eco-management. The goal is to facilitate the interdisciplinary analyses and estimations in this sphere in order to contribute to improve the social policies, the forms of social intervention and public ecoprograms, as well as the individual, business and collective strategies and activities for sustainable development of this sector under the conditions of a dynamically changing social, economic, institutional and natural environment.

  Cost structure of hospitals for the period 2012-2014

  Financing of hospitals in the recent years has always been in the focus of health policy makers, managers and the public. Nevertheless a few economic investigations were made on spending procedures in this sector. This article examines the cost structure of hospitals for the period 2012 -2014, by types of hospitals and by clinical pathways, including an analysis of the effectiveness of the distribution of the costs of clinical pathways.

  New dynamic disequilibrium

  The series of financial crises shook seriously the new consensus between neoclassical and new Keynesians on dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) models. The criticisms were directed mainly to inadequate policy of monetary institutions and the inability of these models to foresee similar crises. In the ensuing debate on the future of macroeconomic theory two approaches were outlined: (1) Combination of alternative economic theories in new, free framework that ignores DSGE models; and (2) Critical analysis of the shortcomings of the DSGE models that enrich them with new ideas and methodological instruments. This article belongs to the second approach and presents DSGE models through the lens of new, non-Walrasian's version of the dynamic disequilibrium. Unlike neo-Walrasian disequilibrium, not the natural equilibrium prices of Smith and Marshall, but the natural rate of Wicksell are put in the role of a gravity center. Endogenezation of capital allows the model to involve the problem of intertemporal coordination, which is pathological for the economy and leads to financial crises.

  Corporate management in Greece in the context of debt crisis

  The article highlights one of the important aspects of the capital market in Greece - the model of corporate management. It studies the specific features s of the Greek model of corporate management, which is dominated by family firms and public companies, with arguments for the view that most public companies have no adequate mechanisms of corporate management. A conclusion was made, that although there are certain results in this area, they are limited to a few relatively large companies seeking to attract international funding. The concept of corporate governance has not been implemented in the Greek business community, which is an obstacle to the expansion of family businesses, for better management of state companies and privatization processes.

  The regulatory role of the state for its environmental policy

  The article deals with the problem of the state regulatory functions as regards environmental security. It focuses on the necessity of the implementation of regulatory measures due to the globalizing nature of the ecological problems. Several basic concepts are presented, which are related to environmental security, as well as to their importance for the state policy. The main goal of state regulation in the field of environmental security is the transition to sustainable development of the socio-economic system.

  The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the Swedish National Bank Prize for Excellence in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel to Angus Deaton for his "analysis of consumption, poverty and welfare". Angus Deaton was a British and American citizen, born in 1945 in Edinburgh, UK. He received his PhD in 1975 from Cambridge University in the field of consumer demand patterns in Britain.
